The Perth Mint in Sidney, Australia, first started minting 1 troy ounce Silver Australian Kangaroo bullion coins in 2015. Since their inception, the design of the silver Kangaroo has remained relatively the same. The reverse of each 1 troy ounce Silver Kangaroo features a Kangaroo, and the obverse of the coin displays an image of Queen Elizabeth II in addition to the coin’s face value, 1 dollar (Australian Dollar). Depending on the year of issue, Silver Kangaroo coins contain 99.9% or 99.99% fine silver content. The only year that Australian Silver Kangaroo bullion coins were minted in 99.9% silver was 2015. Quantities of 25 coins are delivered in mint sealed tubes with holographic security strips sealing the coins.
